Ohio’s Small Business Advisory Council, established under the Common Sense Initiative (CSI Ohio) legislation earlier this year is now set up. Nine individuals were named to the new panel, established to advise the CSI Office on alleviating unnecessary regulations that are burdensome to small business.
The Small Business Advisory Council will provide feedback to the governor, the lieutenant governor, and CSI Ohio on the adverse impact proposed rules might have on small businesses.
Each member was required to possess a background of small business and represent businesses of various types, sizes and geographic locations throughout the state of Ohio.
As discussed in an earlier issue, CSI Ohio eliminated the formerly proposed or existing small business administrative rule review process. CSI Ohio established a new process to review Ohio’s regulatory system in order to eliminate excessive and duplicative rules that adversely impact businesses.
